Discover the Heart of Lake Titicaca: Uros and Taquile Tour by Speedboat/Veloz
Begin by exploring the legendary islands built on totora reeds, where you will learn about the ancestral culture of the Uros and their extraordinary way of life on the water. Then, continue to Taquile, an island famous for its panoramic landscapes, its intact cultural identity and its renowned textile art.
Why choose the Uros and Taquile speedboat tour?
More time to explore, less time sailing
Thanks to the speedboat, transfers are considerably reduced, allowing you to enjoy more time on each island. The tour runs approximately from 07:15 a.m. to 04:00 p.m., making the most of the daylight.
Visit to the authentic Floating Islands of the Uros: Visit two representative floating islands, among more than 90 existing ones, and learn how the totora reeds give shape to houses, boats and traditions that have lasted for centuries.
Discover the magical Taquile Island: Recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, Taquile is a true living testimony of Andean culture. Its textiles, woven by the villagers themselves, reflect identity, history and community organization.
Traditional lunch with lake view: In Taquile you will enjoy a typical local lunch with a spectacular view of Lake Titicaca. A delicious starter (quinoa soup), main course (grilled trout with Andean garnishes), a selection of hot infusions that will reconnect you with nature (there is also a vegetarian option).
Comfort and quality assured: Travel in a modern and safe speedboat, enjoy personalized attention, be accompanied by professional bilingual guides and live authentic experiences with local communities. Every detail of the tour is carefully designed to provide you with a comfortable, safe and memorable experience.
