Day 1: Cultural Exploration in Uros and Amantani

Start an unforgettable experience on Lake Titicaca, departing from the port of Puno aboard a comfortable and safe boat. The first stop will be at the emblematic Floating Islands of the Uros, where you will visit two representative islands and learn about the ancestral way of life of this community that has lived on totora reeds for centuries. During the visit, you will learn about their traditions, customs and the amazing engineering that sustains their floating islands.

Continuing the journey, you will sail for approximately 2 and a half hours towards Amantani Island, enjoying the stunning scenery of the lake and its natural environment. Upon arrival, you will be warmly received by local families, who will welcome you and invite you to share their daily life in an authentic and familiar atmosphere.

Afterwards, you will take a light hike of approximately 30 minutes through natural trails to the community lodging houses. There, you will enjoy a traditional lunch, prepared with fresh Andean products, reflecting the local gastronomy and the affection of the host families.

In the afternoon, you will ascend to the Inca ceremonial temples of Pachamama and Pachatata, located on the highest points of the island. These sacred spaces offer a deep spiritual connection and unparalleled panoramic views of Lake Titicaca, as well as one of the most spectacular sunsets in the region.

At nightfall, the experience continues with a cultural evening organized by local families. Music, traditional dances and typical dress are part of a celebration full of joy, where you can interact and share unforgettable moments with the Amantaní community.

Day 2: Tradition and Landscapes on Taquile Island

After enjoying breakfast on Amantani Island, we say goodbye to the host families to continue our journey to Taquile Island. This island is recognized worldwide for preserving living ancestral traditions, especially its outstanding textile art, declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.

During the visit, we will take a light walk around the island while the guide explains the history, social organization and customs of the Taquileño community. You will also have time to appreciate the breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Titicaca, a unique natural scenery in the world.

At noon, we will enjoy a typical local lunch, prepared with local products, ideal to recharge your batteries before continuing the tour. Finally, we will descend to the port of Taquile to begin our return to the city of Puno, arriving at approximately 3:30 p.m., thus concluding this unforgettable cultural experience.

We were met promptly at the airport by our driver, Wilson, who made the transfer as smooth as we could have hoped for. Not only was he a great driver, he shared a lot of information with us about the Puno area. I also appreciated the contact via Whatsapp because there was a glitch with the correct pick up day. The Titicaca contact person made the adjustment and also checked in with us prior to our arrival. This company was competitively priced and provided exceptional service.

Well organized tour to and from the hotel

30 de March, 2026

The whole tour was very well organized. I was given the English speaking guide Juan in Bolivia who was of Aymara descent and was well versed in local culture, history and rituals, traditions and local herbs. My entire visit to Isla del sol and the Copacabana church was flawless. I greatly appreciated how the tour was organized seamlessly from hotel pick up to everything and delivery to my hotel. This was my first solo trip and they made it very comfortable for me.
