We will begin this unforgettable adventure at 09:00 a.m. with pick-up from your hotel in Cusco. We will travel by tourist transport to the train station in Ollantaytambo (approx. 1 hour and 30 minutes), where we will board our train to the picturesque town of Aguas Calientes (2,000 m.a.s.l.), in a journey of approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes, enjoying beautiful Andean landscapes.
Upon arrival, our professional guide will be waiting for you with a personalized sign. Together you will head to the bus station to begin the 400-meter climb up a zigzagging road for 30 minutes to reach the majestic wonder of the world: the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, known as “The Lost City of the Incas”.
Once inside the citadel, you will begin a guided tour of more than 2 hours, visiting the main archaeological sites such as: the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock (Intihuatana), the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and other ceremonial sectors full of history and mystery.
At the end of the guided tour, you will have free time to explore the citadel at your own pace and capture unforgettable photographs. At 05:00 p.m. we will return by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes, where you can enjoy dinner at one of the many local restaurants.
At 07:00 p.m. we will board the return train (remember to arrive 30 minutes before). Upon arrival in Ollantaytambo, our transportation will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in Cusco. Arrival is scheduled for approximately 10:00 p.m.

- Bus tickets for the ascent and descent to the citadel of Machu Picchu.
- Entrance ticket to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu.

- Transfer back to your hotel in Cusco at the end of the tour.

Recommendations:

- Wear a raincoat or long poncho during the rainy season.

Tuvimos un tiempo encantador! Manuel era nuestro guía de viaje y era tan informativo, sensible y amable. Todos los guías turísticos parecía increíble, pero no teníamos mucha experiencia con otros grupos. Sinceramente, este viaje fue un valor increíble. Tenía fuera de esto visiones del mundo. We had a lovely time! Manuel was our tour guide and he was so informative, responsive and friendly. All the tour guides seemed amazing, but we didn’t have much experience with other groups. Honestly, this trip was an incredible value. It had out of this world views. If you love weaving or textiles in general, you will love meeting all these amazing artisans, and you will love learning about Lake Titicaca. If you are in Puno, and you have time, do yourself a favor and book this trip, you won’t regret it!
