Llachón is a traditional community located on the shores of Lake Titicaca, on the Capachica peninsula, 67 km from Puno (approx. 1 h 30 min). This tour offers an authentic experience of living with local families.

Day 1:
We start with the pick up from your hotel and transfer to the port to board a private boat (08:00 a.m.). During the navigation we will visit the Uros Titino Islands or, optionally, the Uros Floating Islands. Then we continue to Llachón, where we will be welcomed by the community, stay in family homes and enjoy a typical lunch. In the afternoon, we will learn about their handicraft weavings and have free time for optional activities such as kayaking or hiking. In the evening, we will share dinner and a bonfire with the host family.
Day 2:
After breakfast, we will hike to the natural viewpoint of the peninsula, appreciating the lake and learning about agriculture, medicinal plants and local life, thus closing a unique cultural experience.

Recommendations:
- Wear a light windbreaker jacket, ideal for weather changes on the lake.
- Wear comfortable shoes, suitable for short walks.
- Wear a hat or cap to protect from the sun.
- Apply sunscreen during the tour.
- Bring water and/or rehydration drink to stay hydrated.
- Optional: camera or cell phone to capture the scenery of Lake Titicaca.

Tuvimos un tiempo encantador! Manuel era nuestro guía de viaje y era tan informativo, sensible y amable. We had a lovely time! Manuel was our tour guide and he was so informative, responsive and friendly. All the tour guides seemed amazing, but we didn’t have much experience with other groups. Honestly, this trip was an incredible value. It had out of this world views. If you love weaving or textiles in general, you will love meeting all these amazing artisans, and you will love learning about Lake Titicaca. If you are in Puno, and you have time, do yourself a favor and book this trip, you won’t regret it!
