Opciones del Tour
We will start this fascinating City Tour in Cusco in the emblematic Plaza de Armas, where we will visit the majestic Cathedral Basilica, a jewel of colonial art. Then we will take a walk through the main streets of the historic center, admiring the impressive Inca walls that are still preserved in perfect condition, until we reach the sacred Temple of Koricancha, ancient site dedicated to the worship of the Sun God and one of the most important spiritual centers of the Inca Empire.
We will continue to the archaeological complexes surrounding the city, starting with Sacsayhuaman, whose name means “satisfied falcon” and stands out for its huge blocks of perfectly fitted stone, considered in its time the “House of the Sun”. We will continue with a visit to Qenqo, whose name means “labyrinth”, famous for its subway galleries and canals carved in zigzag. Then we will visit Puca Pucara, the “red fortress”, so called because of the color of its stones, and we will finish in Tambomachay, an Inca temple dedicated to the cult of water, symbol of purification and life.
